The Anglican Church of Canada is Antisemitic

It hates Jews.

I can think of no other rational explanation for the latest missive from the ACoC on the war in Gaza. It calls for a ceasefire before Hamas has been defeated and the kidnapped Israeli hostages have been released.

It ignores the fact that civilian casualties are being caused by cowardly Hamas terrorists using civilians as human shields.

It ignores the fact that Israel warns civilians that buildings are going to be bombed, advises them to leave and Hamas shoots them as they do.

It ignores the fact that Hamas houses its headquarters in hospitals, mosques, kindergartens and schools in order to cause maximum civilian casualties when attacked.

It believes civilian casualty numbers produced by cowardly terrorist thugs who allow no freedom of the press, no free elections, or free anything else, rather than numbers from the IDF, whose government has all of the above.

And it expresses no outrage over the deaths of Muslims in these conflicts. Why? Because no Jews are involved:

Ethiopian conflict: 395,000 – 800,000 cumulative deaths

Yemeni civil war: 377,000 deaths

Deaths at the hands of Boko Haram: 368,000

Deaths from the war in Syria: 350,000

The Anglican Church of Canada reserves an especially vitriolic hatred for Israel. It hates the fact that God chose Israel. It hates Jews.

From here:

Dear Prime Minister Justin Trudeau,

Thank you for writing yesterday and for your remarks in response to our letter of October 18th, in which we urged you to call for an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, and for the opening of a humanitarian corridor to allow potable water, food, medical care and more to reach the people of Gaza.

Thank you for your decisions and statements made in recent days, reiterating the importance of both Israel and Hamas respecting international law, ensuring the swift and unimpeded passage of humanitarian aid, and of protecting Israeli and Palestinian civilians. Thank you for evacuating Canadian citizens to safety.

Much has happened in the weeks since our last letter. The siege of Gaza has worsened, resulting in the deaths of more than 11,400 Gazans, including 4,700 children. All hospitals in Gaza City are now closed, as hundreds of thousands of people require medical care. More than one million Palestinians have now been forcibly displaced into smaller and smaller areas in southern Gaza, where humanitarian aid remains at critically low levels. Israeli settler violence against Palestinians in the West Bank has increased dramatically, and East Jerusalamites live in fear and danger of racist attacks, including assaults upon Christians and Church leaders.

  1. According to Genesis 15:18 and Joshua 1:4, the land God gave to Israel included everything from the Nile River to Lebanon and everything from the Mediterranean Sea to the Euphrates River. On today’s map, the Promised Land includes everything modern-day Israel possesses, plus the West Bank, Gaza, Jordan, plus some of Egypt, Syria, Saudi Arabia and Iraq. If this interpretation is correct, Israel currently possesses only a small fraction of the land God has promised. Will Israel expand its territory in the future?

    • Amen. The True Christian Church looks to only The WORD of GOD to affirm Israel’s Biblical Patrimony. The 19c Church of England Restorationists believed this, acting upon it through their National Government to bring it to its Prophesied fruition: Thus, Balfour/San Remo, 1917, 1920/24; alas, the anti-Semitic Foreign Office betrayed its Mandate on the very eve of the Shoah, May, 17, 1939. Still, the UN Charter of 1945, Article 80, included the ‘Palestinian’ West Bank, Biblical Judaea and Samaria; and Gaza. Biblical Yehuda. Why have the now nominal Christian Churches betrayed The WORD of GOD on this crucial issue as well as others? Marxism and Cultural Marxism have “crept in”, either unawares, or, even more damaging, awares. ‘Palestine’ was conceived in Soviet Moscow in 1964 to shore up the PLO/PA anti-Scriptural cause.

    • Michael and Abigail: it really will not do to forget Cyrus and Herod the Great. No second Return, and no third Temple, were ever promised. Neither is any part of the Christian hope according to the teaching of the Lord Jesus and His apostles.

  2. Perhaps, the Jews are only interested in the earthly Promised Land, while Christian believers are more interested in the heavenly Promised Land.

    • A reasonable point of view scripturally. The disciples were so interested on the eve of the Ascension, but strikingly their minds were swept clean of all talk of the restoration of any earthly kingdom by the coming of the Holy Spirit. The Epistle to the Hebrews warns possible backsliders against such a regression from their true salvation to the now abrogated old Covenant.

The whole idea went by the board in the last Jewish Revolt, with the utter destruction of the huge Second Temple. When Rome destroyed a place, it was truly destroyed. Parts of the precincts where the Lord walked, mentioned in the Fourth Gospel, have only recently been dug up again.

Israel is a secular state to which I as both a Jew genetically and a Christian enjoy no ‘right of return’. Truly devout Jews, as opposed to genetic and cultural Jewry, must be in a minority there. That ‘return’ has in any case not been practical for many centuries, given that the land is far too small for the countless millions to live there even if they wanted to.

It will be instructive for readers here to take their Bible concordance and see what terms such as Israel, Kingdom, Temple, Land etc. mean for us who are under the new Covenant. A basic principle is that our understanding of the OT must always be governed by that of the NT, as a matter of obedience to the Lord and His Apostles.

This is a very important book by a real authority: https://www.amazon.com/Palestine-Prize-Price-Kenneth-Cragg/dp/0304700754

      • I agree with Dr. Turner that “our understanding of the OT must always be governed by that of the NT”. We are living in the period of the New Covenant, between the two Comings of Jesus. The Book of Revelation tells us that the followers of Jesus from all nations will live forever with Jesus when He returns to close this current age and establish eternal peace. May the eternal Promised Land come soon!

        • Our LORD’s Interpretive lens as found in +Luke ch. 24 includes both Testaments of which He professes to be its Incarnation in historical time and Promising His Holy Spirit Sola as The Interpreter of His WORD for His Church; that includes the Prophecy of + Zechariah chs. 12-14 when He will Appear above The Mount of Olives to defend His besieged Jewish People Israel from all their Latter Days foes. Literally. Messianic Jews believe this because it is The WORD of GOD. Amen.

  3. The Messianic Jews both within Israel and scattered in the Diaspora believe as did our LORD Jesus Christ, Yeshua Ha Mashiach, in both The Law and The Prophets of which He Professed to be the historical and Divine Fulfillment + Luke ch. 24 He, therefore,; countering both Scribes and Pharisees for their either taking away from or adding to “what saith The Scripture?”. + Isaiah 11:11 Prophesies of the Second Ingathering, being fulfilled since, Balfour/San Remo/League fo Nations/United Nations 1917;1920-24;1945: November 29, 1947 and May 14, 1948. The Prophet Ezekiel chs. 36 &37 are being fulfilled; chs. 38 & 39 yet to take place. The Prophet Daniel Whom our LORD Jesus Christ makes unique reference in His Olivet Prophecy, v. 15, ch. 24 of Matthew is for the Jewish People only, yet involving End Times Nations. Amen. He also enjoins us to “Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem”: His Second Advent for all Believers; His First for yet Unbelieving Israel. +Psalm 122:6 Amen. It is most distressing to witness the ACC and other mainline denominations, the RCC on December 10, 2015, abdicate His Great Commission to the Jews first; then to the Gentiles + Matthew 28:18-20 Amen. Behold Gaza!

  4. Regardless of our opinions about the current Israel-Hamas War, human inhumanity to humanity will continue until the Return of Jesus Christ our Lord and only Saviour.

    • November 29, 1947 – 2023 – 5784 The UN Security Council was presented today by Israel’s Ambassador Erdan with an historic photograph of Jerusalem’s Grand Mufti meeting with Adolph Hitler to draw the exact historic parallel with the anti-Semitic genocidal Hamas and all of its Islamic, plus supporters. Regardless.

  5. The importance of Hamas respecting “international law” (whatever that’s supposed to be on any given day) would be hilarious if it were not so sad.

    • December 6, 2023 National Day of Remembrance and Action against Violence against Women On point of “International Law” Hamas denies committing any sexual violence and rape against Israeli women; the ongoing silence of three female spiritual leaders of Canada’s mainline Churches confirms it.

  6. The Roman Catholic Church had a joint dinner at Shalom Synagogue on Oak & about W 59th about all of this. The Rabbi mentioned that the Palestinians have been there a long time & that there must be two governments now & now one. Also, the Jewish Diaspora happened a very long time ago too. These things are our past but -we must get along- in these days of today!

    • Hanukkah 5784 The Roman Catholic Church did not recognize the sovereign State of Israel until 1994, having allied itself pre and post its founding with the ongoing Islamic Rejectionists to the degree of the present Marxist Pontifex Maximus declaring made in Moscow ‘Palestine’ a State at a Paris ‘Peace’ conference in 2016 Their other tragic alliance was with The Third Reich whose lineaments now have reappeared as the Islamofascism denounced as the “new Nazis” by a repentant Germany itself.

  7. We are witnessing the continued conflicts in the Middle East. The Jews have the Promised Land, while the Arabs have the petroleum.
