I don’t recall seeing her predecessor, Fred Hiltz, in a Pride Parade. Such is the march of progress.

Forget the headware, footware, etc. I am more concerned about the little kid in the front of that photo. What has he/she (I can’t tell) been told about what is going on ? Possibly some emotionally simplistic stuff about “loving” ? At least the adults have the intellectual capacity, if only they would exercise it, to distinguish between (following CS Lewis): Venus (i.e. veneral), Eros (original meaning), Storge (affection), Philia (friendship), and Agape. I suppose it possible that, not exercising the critical thinking aspect of their intellectual capacity, the adults there have convinced themselves that to deny that Storge/Philia/Agape necessitate Eros and Venus is “hateful” and that their costuming, marching, etc, is somehow a “loving” counter to that.

Yes, indeed, the media clearly shows its bias against any form of decency and is ready to promote our current prime minister despite his being found in violation of the ethics of his position — not once but twice. It is well past the time for the media and voters to realize this country needs a leader who has some moral standards. Clearly the media show they have NONE. Tragically the primate and many other so-called bishops fall into the same category.
