I personally have no interest in the olympics. From my perspecitive it is nothing more than a bunch of rich kids playing games most of us don’t care about. What’s more they have the nerve to keep asking the taxpayers for money so that they can continue to play. During these difficult economic times when so many people need jobs it is rather disgusting that they would ask us to pay for their play-time.
If we are going to spend money on sports, than far better for us to build more soccer fields, hockey rinks, baseball diamonds, and hiking and biking trails, than for us to spend one more cent on the circus known as the olympics.
