  1. Who was it? Church of the Redeemer on Bloor St.? They’ve been walking at these before – but not in semi-dress.

  2. It really does sum it up quite succinctly. Does someone have the know-how to make sure this clip is sent to the Bishop of Toronto and ask him to defend it. The gospel of the church is steadily turning into the gospel of Church Street, and with Dean Stoute linking the visit of the Queen and the march of the Queens together in his sermon on Sunday should make more than a few of us stand up and do a NETWORK movie number. This has got to stop. It’s too embarrassing for words alone.

    • Bishop Colin Johnson’s email address is cjohnson@toronto.anglican.ca

The link to send him is this:

I would email him myself, but there is a slight possibility he wouldn’t pay much attention to me – and I’m not in his diocese. But he did say “hello” at synod; I think his teeth were gritted.

    • Amen, Brother John. Amen!!!
Shame on you Mr. Johnson and Mr. Stoute. You gutless wonders belong to the Christian sabotaging ilk of theological anarchists as John Spong, Tom Harper, and that neo-Marxist, Jew-hating, fatuous booby Desmond Tutu.
I am so glad I left the Anglican Church of Canada seven years ago and became a Christian.

  3. Fatuous booby, Desmond Tutu!! I love it and think I’ve said it before myself. Do we know each other? A hero to gliberals everywhere, a moron to anyone with a brain.

  4. Who is this Desmond Tutu, you ask? He is a South African Anglican “bishop” famous for saying at almost all of his speeches against Western Civilization and Culture and against Israel’s right to defend itself against terrorist assault: “God isn’t a Christian, you know.” Giggle. Giggle. Giggle.
He is held in great esteem by the neo-Marxist, leftist-liberal elites (he was awarded a Nobel Peace Prize, as was the Jew-hating, terrorist, mendacious coward Yasser Arafat … but what truly moral and intelligent person has any respect for the Nobel Prizes anymore?). Tutu is the very personification of all that is fatuous and ignorant and cowardly in the “liberal” church and secular society these days. He has many moronic supporters in the Anglican Church of Canada (and othe Churches and secular societies).
But real Christians are devoted to their leader and lord, Jesus Christ.

  5. Nice try, Paul Maurice. You should be banned from this blog for dishonesty. How stupid do you think I am?

    David…give him a good scolding

    John

  6. The “float” has no connection to the Anglican Church of Canada-it was probably pout together by a group of local Anglicans who perhaps needed to have given it a little more thought. The dancing man may have just joined in and it’s unlikely that he was part of the original idea. I suspect that no bishop and probably no priest was ever consulted about this, but the people responsible should have been more considerate of how this would be interpreted or used by the anti-gay element.

    • I am less confident of that than you: last year’s parade has the same bus, a photo of which is displayed on the website of the Diocese of Toronto. It seems more plausible that it has close connections to the Anglican Church of Canada: after all, what other church are “proud Anglicans” going to attend?

  7. At the Gay Pride Days parade in London Ontario, the Gay Anglicans and Christ Church Anglicans had floats and marchers, this was in August 2010.

    • Dave – thanks for the mention of Christ Church London, it looks like an – ummm – interesting parish; I think I’ll post one of their youtube videos. I’m sure they’ll appreciate the exposure.
