One of the many ironies of China is that no gasoline powered motorbikes are permitted: they are all electric to reduce pollution and be more  green. Yet we have this all powered by coal fired generating stations:

 

Xi’an – Terracotta Warriors

These statues are around 2,200 years old and were supposed to protect the dead Emperor Qin Shi Huang in his tomb.


And, after searching high and low, I found, to my great excitement, a copy of Mao’s Little Red Book for sale. I bought several copies to distribute to my Canadian friends.

I have been in China for a little while – hence the dearth of Anglican posts – where the Internet is both stuttering and censored.
