A letter from the rector was also sent to all parishioners stating, among other things:
Beginning This Sunday January 9th, please bring your proof of vaccination to attend worship (kids excepted) Our goal is to be able to clearly reassure anyone who asks that, yes, everyone who comes to worship is vaccinated.
Like so many things that would not long ago have seemed profoundly bizarre to find in a church, this intrusive medical questioning and resulting division and segregation is liable to become not only accepted and routine but demanded by rule-loving parishioners.
I am waiting for the first church to announce that such actions are prophetic and inclusive.
Public worship should be the last place on earth to reject people due to their vaccination status. Personally, I will stay away from public worship if I think I may endanger the health of others. Online worship is a good option for many of us, Christians and non-Christians.
Quite. This is totally unacceptable. We cannot turn those who come seeking Jesus away.

Should we spend our time, energy, resources to support and pray for all our health-care workers in Canada instead? There were about 587 confirmed active cases of COVID-19 per 100,000 people in Canada on January 28. We should be thankful that our active cases were much lower than that of other countries, e.g., 11,761 active cases in Norway; 10,170 in France; 9,440 in Switzerland; 8,551 in U.S.A.; 8,097 in Belgium, etc.
