Pride parades are all about evangelism and family

According to the Rev. Canon Greg Smith, Pride parades are about evangelism, family and witness. And nothing whatsoever to do with sex and nudity.

I do wish someone had pointed out to these fellows that they were marching in the wrong parade:

From here (Page 6):

Contrary to some uninformed assumptions, the parade is not about “sex and nudity” but is about the whole human family celebrating together as a witness to a way beyond hate and violence and prejudice.

For those Anglicans taking their place in the parade, it is an evangelizing testimony of the kind of Table to which we have been called in Jesus. Hopefully this is a testimony that will continue to grow.

  1. Is Mr. Greg Smith really that obtuse? Does he not have any realization that his words are completely false and so easily seen through as just another lie?

  2. The Rev. Canon Greg Smith must be blind. There is only one person who can restore his sight. All the Rev. Canon Greg Smith has to do is accept Him as Lord.

    • You are absolutely correct. Tragically the ACoC is now riddled and controlled by apostates that are leading people from the GOD of the Bible to that detestable “god of political expediency”. If they did the same when working in a secular environment they would have been fired. They will certainly face the judgement seat when they meet our Lord. We can only pray that their eyes will be opened and they will come to make a full and public confession for their actions.

  3. In his ‘The Person and Place of Jesus Christ’ (1909; or, 2018), in ch. 8, ‘The Moralizing of Dogma’, and “the moralizing of Christology by The Reformation”, p.220 ff.,P.T. Forsyth quotes the Preface to Melancthon’s 1521 ‘Loci’:
“If a man know nothing of the power of sin, of law, or, of grace, I do not know how I can call him a Christian…To know Him to purpose is to know the demand of the conscience for holiness, the Source of power to meet it, where to seek grace for our sin’s failure, how to get up the sinking soul in the face of the world, the flesh, and the devil, how to console the conscience broken…Paul, in Romans,… speaks of law, sin and grace; of conscience, guilt and Salvation. These are the topics on which a knowledge of Christ turns. You do not know Christ until you know these.”
The Epistle to The Romans, “the Charter of The Reformation” (Prof. James Atkinson ), militates against everything that pertains to the natural man; into which category Forsyth includes: “Socialism is simply the Christianity of the natural man, the Church of the yet not Born-again”; which must needs include its unnatural offspring, The Gayspel.

My gift of books was politely acknowledged, but there was no sign that anything I had sent was ever read by any member of the Committee.

In spite of this, I still believe with all my heart that it is not too late to turn our Church around from the brink of disaster. I also believe that while education is not the whole key, ignorance is not our friend. Laypeople sometimes need to educate the clergy. One copy of a good book in the right hands can change many minds.

Does a supine, passive laity too mean with money to buy a paperback book, too lazy to read it and too selfish to pass it on deserve anything but a sub-educated, heretical and immoral clergy?

  5. True, the gay pride parades I witnessed were not all about nudity and sexuality but it was most certainly the lion’s share of it. And honestly, there is really nothing wrong with that either IMO. But it is the silliness of some of the things that some Christians say trying to convince me that this is about something other than what it is really about. The vast majority of the participants are thinking about religion and Jesus and what “progressive” Christians think about their parade about as much as my cat does when it licks itself.

    • You are absolutely right when you state that participants have absolutely no thought on religion or the clear teachings of Scripture. The tragic part is that many so-called Christians including apostate clergy and bishops applaud such activity and thus totally ignore the clear words of Scripture as found in Romans 1:24-27. It is no wonder that the membership of so-called churches are losing members. Hopefully they will seek fellowship and membership in genuine Christian churches such as within ANIC and Lutheran Church Canada.

Further government authorities that endorse such activity should resign.
