15 min 2009 reported by prejudiced Muslims for converting to Christianity and Evangelizing Muslims in Iran a Farsi speaking country formerly Persia. One had a vision of Jesus and a conversion that sounds like John Wesley’s; furthermore, this also reminds me of John Calvin’s predestination of God deciding a person to be a Christian before they were born.
These two were imprisoned from one prison to Evan prison with those against the Iranian govt even children there with their parents. 209 cells solitary. These two women converted persons to Christianity.
Refused medical treatment for leaving Islam to Christianity.
A lot of stress and pressure
27 min threatened with execution
27:55 in love with Jesus -tasted His love-
31 min mention ‘Jesus is Shepherd’
Pope asks for release
32 min wrote a book: ‘Captive in Iran’
Both are students no studying international law; furthermore, both are writing another book about women in Iran
I lived in Esfahan, Iran for 5 1/2 years under the strong Western ally, the Shah. Churches were not only free to practice their faith, but were encouraqed in many ways. When Khomeini came into power, a formerly comfortable means of make a living became nearly impossible. A chicken, if you could catch it, costs more than $100. Price of heating oil, produced in Iran itself, went out of sight. Immediately following on the heels of the declaration of Sharia law, 21 young ladies (aged 18 to 22) were hanged for failing to recant their faith in Christ. I thought: “How many of our modern day ministers would have that courage and conviction?”
On June 25, 2025, the United Church of Canada published a detailed press release expressing its “outrage” that the United States had bombed Iranian nuclear sites and demanding that Canada likewise condemn the US. On January 14, 2026, now that the Iranian regime has slaughtered protestors numbering in the thousands, I went to the United Church’s news page to read about their outrage and condemnation of Iran’s government killing protesting civilians. I found: nothing, nada, nichego. Even the persecution even of Christians in Iran doesn’t seem to arouse the United Church’s outrage.
Correction: the United Church’s PR expressing outrage was published on June 23, 2025. Here it is: https://united-church.ca/news/united-church-canada-condemns-united-states-attack-iran But, after weeks of protests in Iran, the United Church can’t rouse themselves to saying anything about Iran’s government killing civilians. Yes, on Facebook, they did issue prayers for the “safety for Iranians as they protest and strike over Iran’s failing economy.” This is farcical as the protestors aren’t mostly upset about the economy. Still, there is no denunciation of the evil being perpetrated, whereas they’re quick to denounce the US (or Israel). Why can’t they denounce the evil Iranian regime and maybe pray for the United States to do the “right thing”?
