Babies’ Lives Matter

Around 100,000 babies are murdered in the womb each year in Canada.

Since 1988, Canada has had no law protecting the unborn. None. That means a baby can be killed at any time from the moment of conception to the moment of birth.

To my knowledge, no bishop in the Anglican Church of Canada has voiced any objection to this.

Silence is complicity.

Anglican Church of Canada bishops, no matter how much hand-wringing you do over racism, you still have blood on your hands.

  1. “.. Canada has had no law protecting the unborn. None. That means a baby can be killed [up] to the moment of birth.”
It is actually a bit worse than that. Criminal Code of Canada:
    | 223 (1) A child becomes a human being within the meaning of this Act
    | when it has completely proceeded, in a living state, from the body
    | of its mother, whether or not
    | (a) it has breathed;
    | (b) it has an independent circulation; or
    | (c) the navel string is severed.
The operative word there is “completely”. According to the Criminal Code it is not a human being, and hence to kill it would not make one liable to a charge of murder, if it still had one foot inside the birth canal. Not nitpicking; used as defense in a case against midwifery malpractice. An attempt to have 223(1) revisited by an MP was blocked.

  2. June 24, 2020 + Feast Day of St. John the Baptist
Since Canada’s lawless 1988, 100,000 infant souls per year
‘among those who were’ not ‘born of women’.
    + Luke 7:28.

  3. Well done! But John Watton, Bishop of Central Newfoundland and Geoff Peddle of Eastern Newfoundland are not in your list. Is it because they have spoken out against abortion … or were they missed by you?
