I had not seen the cost to the Diocese of Niagara of its litigation until this article about Bird appeared in the Anglican Journal. I imagine the diocese views it as money well spent since the sale and demolishing of St. Hilda’s church and rectory alone netted them $2.6 million; and who cares about 1 Corinthians 6:1 when what really counts is at stake?
“Just prior to my becoming bishop, three parishes voted to walk away from the diocese of Niagara,” Bird said in an interview with the Anglican Journal. “There was a subsequent fourth one some months after…that.” What he needed to do, he said, was to draw “a good group of people around the episcopal office.”
Protracted and sometimes rancorous legal battles over the ownership of properties followed. The costs of these battles—which Bird said ran upwards of $1 million—were compounded by the recession of 2008, which drove the diocese into serious financial difficulties.
And that is merely what he is prepared to admit to: so is probably immensely higher.
But we need merely wait. The wicked do not prosper, and stolen money runs through the fingers like sand.
I have information that likely others have heard “on the grapevine” that The Diocese of Urine, oops. Huron and The Diocese of Niagara are in ‘talking stages’ yet again that amalgamation might be an answer to the ever dwindling resources in both.
Talk about a ‘lose-lose’ scenario.
I would not in the least be surprised if there should be a union between Huron and Niagara as both consider the Gospel as urine. Tragically the diocese of New Westminster cannot be part of that union as they belong in the same camp. Perhaps they could rename the combined diocese as the Diocese of Apostasy and Urine as it would clearly show the truth of the matter.

I am fully confident that Fred Hiltz is well aware of this situation as he has been in the apostasy camp almost from the time of his appointment. This simply proves the ACoC is definitely apostate and will use and have used whatever means possible to destroy the faith of true orthodox Christians.
