Archbishop Melissa Skelton to retire

The Diocese of New Westminster’s Bishop Melissa Skelton will be retiring in 2021.

Her tenure was not as divisive or tumultuous as her predecessor, Michael Ingham but that isn’t saying much, since his contribution to the fracture of the Anglican communion, while not singlehanded, was energetic and indispensable.

Skelton supported all the usual causes, most of which bore little relation to the religion that is responsible for paying her salary. Here she is, for example, wearing a pussyhat. Purple, not pink, as befitting the dignity of her calling as a bishop.

From here:

Greetings, People of the Diocese of New Westminster

When I first became the Bishop of the Diocese, I reminded all of you that, on account of Provincial Canons specifying that bishops must retire by age 70, I would have seven years to serve as your bishop. I turn 70 years of age in mid-March of 2021, and with a mixture of sadness about leaving as well as excitement for the future of this Diocese, I inform you that I am calling for the election of a Bishop Coadjutor for the Diocese of New Westminster on October 3, 2020.

  1. She was and is nothing but a fraud and followed in the steps of Michael Ingham and did nothing to restore the property in Abbotsford to its legitimate owners – true genuine Christians – something that Michael Ingham and his followers are and were not!! She worships the god of political expediency — NOT the true God of the Scriptures.

  2. This is propitious news: Justin in time to avail one’s Church/Mosque/Synagogue of the Federal Cultural Marxist large$$e for offering plates whose otherwise overflowing givings are now penurious thanks to the godless/anti-Christian Wuhan virus – with no strings attached, so it seems;
    unlike the Canada Emergency Business Account whose purse is held by Belt and Road Finance Minister Morneau:
    whose clause 4 denies funding to any business that does not “conform” to the Trudeau Regime’s definition of “gender”, “sexual orientation”, and “religion”.
    Is this not a repeat act of discrimination re.the same Regime’s 2018 Labour Minister Haidju’s Canada Summer Jobs applications, just cause vs. now in due process.
    (V. ‘Lifesitenews’; sign its petition before criticism of the Wuhan virus becomes a criminal act; and its related petition vs. this recent act of discrimination vs. Canadians; and its related petition for the resignation of Dr. WHO-CCP advised.)
    On this count Bishop Skelton will be amply rewarded – an empty Church, but a full
    bank account.
    One has to wonder about Bishop Royal, though. Too Orthodox!
