Anglicans on the trailing edge

The Anglican Church of Canada has largely abandoned thousands of years of Biblical wisdom, tradition and theology in favour of the latest secular fads.

So far, we have galloped through gay equality, global warming, fossil fuel divestment, Indigenous rights, transgender mayhem, obsessive/compulsive pronoun selection disorder, ancestor condemnation, Israel excoriation, to arrive finally, panting with exhaustion, at Dismantling Systemic Racism. This week, at least. Next week a new fad will undoubtedly assault the malleable affections of our senior Anglican clerics.

One of the problems with all this is the puzzling question of why the keepers of our moral boundaries do not notice all these abject ethical failures before the secular world points them out? Could it be because, having abandoned the faith once handed down, the Anglican Church of Canada finds itself wandering aimlessly in a wasteland of witless ideas, staggering helplessly from one stupidity to the next? Yes.

Thus, we have the Council of General Synod busily engaged in Dismantling Racism:

In its latest meeting, the general secretary said, CoGS had been challenged to learn how to see something that is very obvious for people not in the dominant culture, but which may be less so for those in the dominant culture: the reality of racism. “We had some very moving revelations of those realities,” Perry said of Saturday’s panel discussion on dismantling racism. “I hope that we will all learn how to see those very difficult realities so that we can address them effectively.”

CoGS has also been invited to see what God has been doing in the pandemic, he added, “in ways that perhaps we’ve not been open to seeing because we’ve been tied up just trying to get through it.” Perry described Surprised by the Spirit as an invitation to the Anglican Church of Canada “to see what God is doing and will be doing.”

I think I have seen what God is doing: He is dismantling the Anglican Church of Canada.

  1. ‘Surprised by the Spirit’ says it all. Shouldn’t it be ‘Surprised by the Holy Spirit’? I once attended an Anglican Church which sang a hymn to our ‘Spirit friend.’ I am sure they will want to alter to liturgy at some point because it’s biblical and in their enlightened opinion no longer relevant.

  2. The ACoC needs to return to the Scriptures and reject and disband all so-called bishops – more properly called apostates. Until that occurs it has NOTHING to offer. If it focuses on the GOSPEL everything else will fall in line but until that happens it cannot be called a CHRISTIAN church.

  3. If you want to “dismantle racism”, just observe one of the most straightforward teachings of Christianity as succinctly expressed in Galatians 3:28.

    Yes, it is that simple.

Now Indigenous burial rites must needs be added to the Residential Schools nostra culpae:
while all of its Denominational perpetrators still are seeking to perpetuate as righteous the very same sexual sins committed against its tens of thousands of victims:
homosexual sins high on the progressive must do list for an “inclusive” Church.
As offensive as hypocritical, therefore, is the invitation of the Cultural Marxist Liberal Prime Minister, et al., of Canada at his one on one meeting with Cultural Marxist Pope Francis urging him to “apologize” for Rome’s appalling part in these various crimes. (v, ‘The Catholica Register’, May 28, 2021). Watch for the Pride flag to fly over Toronto’s RC Schools next week.
In wake of the dark, stark truth of Archbishop Vigano’s August 2018 public “Testimony” re. a “homosexual network” operative, and still operative, within the Roman Catholic Church, said charge still unanswered by His Holiness, that is akin to Gomorrah asking Sodom to apologize for “righteous” Lot for being one of their citizens.

A whole week later consequent to the horrific Kamloops discovery:
Both Toronto’s Archbishop Collins and the Prime Minister publicly acknowledge the Roman connection (-S.J,, along with S.J. compromised Minister Miller ):
“a betrayal of trust’; and ‘Step up,’ their respective public mea culpas, saith
these wolves in Rainbow Clothing on behalf of the The Holy See equally bedecked.
Proof? Court records suppressed by the Trudeau Regime in the evidence re. the Saint Anne School and those homosexual predatory Priests whose crimes were covered up both by Rome and Rome’s Cultural Marxist Prime Minister, et al.
      The Hague is calling.

      • That must help elucidate the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Toronto’s unprecedented public ‘discipline’ of the “Catholic” Prime Minister’s being as “uninformed” as “unhelpful” in his June 4 (!) demand for a Papal apology and rendering of records re.The Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s own 2015 Directives; and thus his, et al., repeated House of Commons absent abstention re. the NDP Motion against. pursuing legal actions vs. Residential School Survivors.
Repeated as per the House of Commons November 18, 2020, Opposition Motion re. genocide in the Peoples Republic of China, The common ground for all three of these sons of Rome is not any one child or no child policy, so anti-Catholic tolerant at the same time of other Cultural Marxist social polices; it is the Vatican’s September 22, 2018, secret S.J. Concordat with the PRC.
That makes for two ongoing genocides on their watch, does it not?.

  5. Nobody can thank God for evil, but we can thank Him for the opportunity to deal with the consequences of evil. We cannot thank God for the mass grave or any other possible mass graves, but we can thank Him for the opportunity for some of us to do something about it. Likewise, we cannot thank God for the abortions performed in Canada, but we can thank Him for the opportunity to provide Christian counselling to prevent abortions or to council the women involved afterwards. These women need ongoing council and care.
