At 6:38 this morning our seventh grandchild, Vivian, was born. At 10:00 a.m. a dear friend, Martin, died of Alzheimer’s. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away, blessed be the name of the Lord.

Amen and amen. Beautiful baby. Sorry about your friend.
May your tears of loss for Martin be mingled with tears of joy for the healthy arrival of Baby Vivian. May those tears then all be for joy to know that Martin, dear, dear Martin is with our Lord, perfected and singing praises once again with his hands held high before his Mighty King. May I nudge you to take your loss and your joy to compose a mighty praise song dedicated to the wonderful child of God that Martin is.
