The Father’s Love

When little problems leap out of life’s precarious vortex to assail us, I often write a song. I have no idea why, but I do know that I haven’t the time now since I have to grope my way through some excruciatingly boring Discovery documents.

So I am appropriating a song I wrote for one of our daughters when she was having a difficult time a few years back:

The Father’s love
The Father’s love is deeper than the deepest ocean floor.
The Father’s love is brighter than the brightest morning star.
Chorus
Love so strong, to give your Son to death; he knew no sin.
To open heaven’s door for us where we are welcomed in.

The Father’s love, it reaches to the distant galaxies.
The Father’s love is always here, it even rescues me.

  1. Hi David,

Over the last decade you have written many beautiful worship and praise songs. They have been a great blesssing to many of us that have had the privilege of hearing them.

Why don’t you offer them to the Bishop in lieu of any damages. To be shared and sung throughout the Diocese forever free of any copyright charges. This way the bishop can obtain something priceless that everone can profit from.

  2. What a great idea! (about getting your songs into the Diocese of Niagara)
also, this is one of my (if not the) favourite worship songs- thanks for your faithfulness David- God bless

  3. I believe we come closest to our Lord through our music worship, even closer than in our deepest most heartfelt prayers, for with raised hands, and joyful voices we praise Him, exalt Him, worship Him and thank Him, and it must please Him so.
And you David open that door for us, with your talented gifts that you dedicate to Christ Jesus. Would it count in the earthly courts of law; your music, your dedication, and your love of Jesus, would determine that this trial be an open and shut case.
Where you to be judged not by the earthly vindictiveness of His enemies, but by your contribution to the Body of Christ, this matter would be thrown out before it began.
The Fathers’s love has got you covered!
