  1. The Democrats (Liberals) hailed Obama as a secone coming. But so far Obama has been just one big dissapointment. He has not been able to change anything.

  2. While everyone complains that Obama hasn’t fixed the mess he inherited yet, they forget who started the mess in the first place.

  3. Check out Barney Frank and Chris Dodd.
When Bush wanted to put regulations on Fanny and Freddy, the Democrats blocked it. The MSM has consistently falsely smeared Bush for the mess.
One more terrorist attack on US soil and we’ll see how many “Miss Me Yet?’ signs sprout.
    Peace,
    Jim

  4. Hello Warren (7)
You could trace the “blame” for what is wrong with the USA all the way back to Kennedy if you like. One thing is for sure though. The USA is in a mess and is going broke fast! Ever read “The Rise and Fall of the Great Powers”? It is a very interesting book covering the past 500 years of countries rising to prominance, only to be overtaken by the next power as circumstances (technology, politics, economics, and also religion) change. It appears to be about a 100 year long cycle, and the USA is fast approaching the end of its 100 years as top dog.

  5. AMPisAnglican, working in a large US military headquarters, the people I work with tend to be of a conservative bent. Nevertheless, we regularly have interesting coffee-pot discussions along the lines of your last post. I doubt that I can find it now, but I read an interesting editorial a few weeks ago the thesis of which was that forecasts of the rapid the decline of the US are greatly overblown and that it will continue to dominate world affairs across a broad spectrum for a long time to come. An interesting comparison in the article involved higher education and R&D opportunites in the US and China and concluded that the US still has an enormous lead.
