Glory to the gender bending God

When I was a student at university most of my attention was occupied by drinking, chasing girls and playing the guitar. I wasn’t a Christian at that point, although I did live next door to a couple of Christians with whom I became friends in spite of the fact that I diligently tried to scandalise and upset them whenever I had the chance. They must have forgiven me; one of them used to ask my advice on dating.

Evidently student Christianity has changed a little over the years. It is now a different century and, for me, a different country. And, it would appear, a different religion. I wasn’t convinced that the beliefs of my Christian friends were true, but at least I didn’t think them risibly preposterous. This, on the other hand, is:

Glory to the Gender-Bending God – This is a devotional explores common experiences of trans people and how they correlate to themes appearing in the Bible. Through this devotional, we hope to affirm the lived experiences of trans people and celebrate trans folks as people of faith. 1. Presumably their god, in whom they patently don’t believe, has to look in the mirror every morning and work out his gender by feel?

    • They might well believe in a “god” but definitely have nothing whatever to do with the GOD of the Bible. Society generally believe in a “god” and have reduced that name to whatever might please them at any particular moment. This allows them to endorse behaviour that is totally contrary to THE WORD and tragically most so-called bishops within the ACoC and the TEC fall into this category.

  2. “Evidently student Christianity has changed a little over the years. It is now a different century and, for me, a different country. And, it would appear, a different religion.”

A precursory look at the SCM Canada site presents you with, inter alia, a “CheJesus” image. This is not a Christian site; it’s a hard leftist political site with the thinnest veneer of Christianity applied to dupe the credulous.

    • In other words it is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. The ACoC has totally abandoned the GOSPEL and now proclaims the “god of political expediency”.
