Diocese of Kootenay will ignore Marriage Canon vote

From here:

Rev. Dr. Lynne McNaughton, elected as Bishop to the Anglican Diocese of Kootenay, to which Cranbrook belongs, earlier this year, will also be issuing a joint statement with other bishops who have affirmed all of this. Additionally, she will be going ahead to authorize same-gender marriage within the Diocese of the Kootenay.

Updated list of dioceses that will marry same-sex couples:
Diocese of New Westminster
Diocese of Toronto
Diocese of Niagara
Diocese of Montreal
Diocese of Ottawa
Diocese of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island
Diocese of Rupert’s Land
Diocese of Kootenay

  1. Just another pretend to be bishop but actually as APOSTATE. With this type of Satanic leadership it is not surprising to see the ACoC declining rapidly.

  2. This list of same-sex affirming dioceses will likely grow:

Diocese of British Columbia: “Bishop Logan McMenamie was devastated when the Anglican Church of Canada struck down approval of same-sex marriage, but is relieved the church is now granting individual dioceses the right to perform LGBT unions if they wish.” (Source: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/anglican-bishop-diocese-lgbt-union-marriage-1.5213708 )

Diocese of Edmonton: Bishop Jane Alexander tweeted that “the inclusively phrased BAS service of Marriage for use with same gender couples will be available for clergy as of Friday 19th July. #yeganglican” (Source: https://twitter.com/bishjane/status/1151663906718285824 )

    • Yes, indeed, this shows the depth of APOSTASY within the ACoC which can only mean the church is now APOSTASY CHURCH OF CANADA. It is indeed devastating to see how far many so-called bishops have fallen as by their actions they have denounced the vows they made both at their ordination and consecration. In the business world they would be dismissed for just cause but instead many have evicted genuine Christians from the buildings and have legally stolen the property. Unless there is a return to the GOSPEL there is no future.

    • If these people are going to ignore the Synod decision, why did we even have a Synod, it was just an expensive waste of time, and who paid the Synod expenses?

      • If the local option is the way to go forward, and if the Diocese is the basic unit of the Anglican Church, then the dissolution of General Synod will be the next logical step for the church to take.

        • The next step for the church to take would be a return to the Gospel and ridding itself of the apostate so-called bishops that clearly do NOT believe in any god but the “god of political expediency”. Until that is done the ACoC can only stand for APOSTATE CHURCH OF CANADA as under the current leadership it cannot claim to be CHRISTIAN.

        • But, Michael, none of this has been logical so far. There has been a disregard for procedure, fair play, and acting in good faith at every turn. I know no one likes the language of “agenda,” but this has from the beginning seemed less like a discernment process and more like a zealous crusade. I (sadly) expect it to continue in that spirit.

  3. It is now obvious that there was never any intention to honour a No vote. The combination of Chancellor Jones’ erroneous reading of the Canon and the Word from the Church document are the “back pocket” arrangements described by Susan Bell in the CBC article. Since they couldn’t win fair and square on a vote, they’ll use any means to get to their objectives. I supposed to give these people the benefit of the doubt and assume they’ve been operating in good faith?Send a letter to Archbishop Welby. Tell him what you think of this disgrace.

    • Sending a letter to Justin Welby would be a complete waste of time as he stands in the camp of the APOSTATES.

      • Maybe, but I think I’ll just let him know anyway, in a reasoned substantive way. I agree with the contents of your position but name calling is both less than useful and ultimately self-defeating. Sorry, but it makes you look like an enraged bull. Channel anger into reasoned discourse: good for everyone, including you.

        • I agree, Elisabeth. Frank, I sympathize with the desire to speak clearly about false teaching and the frustration that we all feel with the tactics of those who are leading the ACoC away from biblical Christianity. But our tone and our attitude can make the difference between whether our witness reaches those whose hearts may still be open to repentance. We say we believe that with God all things are possible. I think we have to hold to that in this regard too.

    • I am fully confident that this could be done. However, do not be surprised if the your diocesan office decides to evict you from your building and legally steal the property. That is what happened to us when we stood up against apostasy. Tragically the ACoC has come under the control of APOSTATES and they will do anything to destroy the TRUTH.
