Diocese of Huron in Pride Parade

The Diocese of Huron is inviting us all to join them in the annual London Pride Parade.

You can dress (or undress, I expect) any way you want, so long as you bring a reusable water bottle.

On reading this, I found myself musing on whether there is anything at all that could be done or worn to scandalise these proud Anglicans. And then it came to me: I’ll hand out plastic straws to put in their reusable water bottles.

From here:

It’s Pride Parade Time! Here is what you need to know. This year, the parade is assembling on the Western Fair race track. Parking will be in the Western Fair Market parking areas off King or Ontario Streets. Come to the race track between 11:30- 12 noon and look for the Proud Anglican location which will be numbered as D4. The numbers will be posted on orange traffic cones. St. Jude’s is right in front of us and “Circles” behind us. We are to be ready to move into position by noon, so please try to arrive as early as you can. If you are late, it is possible to join us from the parade route. The parade will go on rain or shine.
If you have T-shirts from your church you might want to wear them or if you have a church banner you are welcome to bring it. We will have a “Proud Anglicans” Banner out front. Dress colourfully (even flamboyantly if it suits you) and don’t forget a hat and a (reusable, please) water bottle.

  1. This is further clear evidence that the ACoC is no longer Christian and has as its leadership apostate so-called bishops that simply worship that detestable “god of political expediency. They might well be happy on this side of the grave but beyond that they will have no home. It is well past the time for genuine bishops within the ACoC — if there is any — to stand up for the Gospel.

  2. Pride is still a sin.
    Rule of Benedict, Chapter Seven:
    1. The Divine Scripture calls to us, brothers, saying: “Whoever exalts himself shall be humbled, and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted.”
    2. In saying this, therefore, it shows us that every exaltation is a kind of pride,
    3. Of which the Prophet indicates He shuns, affirming: “Lord, my heart is not exalted, my eyes are not lifted; and I haven’t walked among the great things nor gone after marvels too high for me”

  3. Hardly a parade. Really it is nothing more than a bunch of people walking down the street waiving flags and carrying banners.
To be “proud” of this sexual perversion is to flout the very word of God. But as the AcoC has abandoned the Christian Faith and considers the Holy Bible nothing more than man made writings with lots of errors it is actually not a surprise.

  4. Mark the Diocese of Kazakhstan’s “Response to Gay Pride” (August 1, 2018, ‘Lifesitenews’): foremost among “acts of reparation is fervent prayer for the Conversion and Salvation of the souls of homosexuals…”; a Scriptural spiritual remedy, texts duly cited, which more and more is becoming unlawful, even illegal, in some jurisdictions. For this, and other related reasons, the Archbishop, who once had suffered for his faith under Soviet oppression, warns of a time coming when true Bible believers will undergo persecution for the faith once delivered. In Canada, consider William Whatcott.
So forewarned our LORD and His Apostle John in his recorded + Revelation.
