The rector, Rev. Yme Woensdregt, of Christ Church Anglican in the Diocese of Kootenay, thinks this is “quite wonderful” whereas, in reality for today’s Canadian Anglican church, it is rather common-place and mundane. There is no wonder in it at all.
What is interesting about it is that it is billed as same-gender marriage not same-sex marriage. Sex is, of course, determined by chromosomes but gender, we are told, is a social construct. The church has already moved on – as I knew it would – from same-sex marriage to the marriage of a biological man who identifies as a woman to a biological woman who identifies as a man. Or any possible permutation thereof. If you are not confused yet, I expect you soon will be when the ACoC concocts its next yet more inclusive and improved marriage ménage.

Christ Church Anglican in Cranbrook has officially received permission from Bishop of Kootenay Lynne McNaughton to perform same-gender marriages.
“It’s quite wonderful,” said Rev. Yme Woensdregt of Christ Church, “and our congregation is — as I say, three or four years ago it was almost unanimous [in support of same-gender marriage] and that has not changed. For most of us, we don’t see why that ought to be a problem.”
Woensdregt explained that in 2016 they received permission from previous Bishop of the Diocese of Kootenay, John Pivett, to bless a civil marriage of same-gender people.
This clearly shows they might call their church, Christ’s Church, but it is definitely NOT and should be named SATAN’S Church as they are turning their backs on THE WORD and have chosen to worship SATAN. If the congregation does indeed support this action it has been taken in by APOSTATE leadership – so-called bishops and clergy who have lead the congregation from THE TRUTH AND AUTHORITY OF THE BIBLE.
Where are all of the homosexuals coming from to use these services?
Here in London many Anglican churches have closed and there are very few LGBT living in the city of London Ontario anyway and very, very few even go to church anywhere.
We had a MCC Church here in London Ont (the church for gays and lesbians) but due to neglect, poor attendance and infighting the MCC closed and the LGBT have scattered to who knows where, at the end there were only 10 to 15 in the membership of the MCC.
So where are the stats to show the demand for gay and lesbian weddings in the Anglican Church?
Why are the gays and the lesbians so important that this is all that we hear of now?

That was a ruse that the “change agents” used, as they attacked what was once “sound doctrine”. They told us that the LGBTblabla would flood into the Church, and that Church coffers would overflow with cash, as if that is the raison d’être for a Gospel proclaiming Church.
Homosexuals are always in a minority in our world and we probably have talked too much about them than about the proud, the hypocrites, the poor and the homeless in our midst.
