Calaveras Presbyterian Church stands against coerced acceptance of COVID-19 vaccines

Calaveras Presbyterian Church based in California is the only church that I know of to take a stand against vaccinations that rely on cells derived from aborted foetuses.

You may agree or disagree, but at least this church is making a clear statement on its view of the use of the HEK-293 and PER.C6 cell lines in the production of COVID-19 vaccines.

Read it all here:

STATEMENT OF CALAVERAS PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, ITS MEMBERS AND ADHERENTS CONCERNING COERCED ACCEPTANCE OF COVID-19 VACCINES

Calaveras Presbyterian Church hereby sets forth its sincerely held beliefs and proscriptions against the following cited COVID-19 Vaccines:

Bases of the Position:

Calaveras Presbyterian Church holds to the sanctity of human life at all stages from conception and it holds to the absolute inadmissibility of medicines/pharmaceuticals  prepared using fetal therapy.

The Church believes it to be definitely inadmissible to use the methods of so-called fetal therapy, in which the human fetus at various stages of its development is aborted and used in attempts to treat various diseases and to “rejuvenate” an organism. Denouncing abortion as a sin, the Church cannot find any justification for it even if someone may possibly benefit from the destruction of a conceived human life. Contributing inevitably to ever-wider spread and commercialization of abortion, this practice presents an example of glaring immorality and is spiritually criminal as a violation of Divine Law.

Calaveras Presbyterian Church firmly holds that Scripture defines appropriate Christian behavior. Because of this, it would be a violation of our faith to receive the following coronavirus vaccines…… [go to the link to see the full list etc.]

  1. Was any vaccine prepared using cells from a baby aborted in order to prepare a vaccine? When I was vaccinated, I understood that none were so prepared. The cell lines I believe go back years, to abortions that had no medical purpose at all.

My moral reasoning is this: I am no more mistaken in receiving a vaccine that was made out of tissue from a murdered baby than I am in receiving my life as good, when several of my ancestors raped or were raped, and/or murdered in order to obtain a woman or were as women so obtained. My paternal ancestry stems from Northumbrian sheepfarmers, and one of my daughters is a pure Scandinavian blonde …

      • John, I assume you are asking me?

No, I’m not. Let me add that I have no wish to persuade others to follow suit; I had enough difficulty deciding for myself.

I am in favour of a person making his own choice, based on his understanding of the issues and his conscience.

        • I’m twice vaccinated with Pfizer. I feel fine. An older woman at my Church had something Medical before being vaccinated with Pfizer as well. Her vaccination is not agreeing with her. I have to show Vacc Card to enter restaurant.

          • Known Priscilla for years from St John’s (Shaughnessy) started attending in 1982. Harry Robinson arrived from Toronto not too long ago. They switched to Holy Trinity Anglican was doing very well.Dayspring Fellowship joined them. Old building built too close to property line. Could raise & move it? Church Hall collapsed. Moved to Chalmers United.

    • John, it depends on what you mean by “‘Aborted Babies Vaccine”. All the vaccines available in Canada use the HEK-293 or PER.C6 cell lines in either their development or testing. Both were grown from body parts extracted from aborted babies. This isn’t a controversial claim, the companies admit it is the case.

There are arguments that, even if you believe abortion is wrong, taking the vaccine is still morally permissible. Priscilla explains a common one above (the Catholic church says something similar). I remain unpersuaded mainly for reasons I explained here.

In any case, the point of the post was to not to make the argument either way, but to say that this church is taking a stand, whereas most don’t.
