Anna Greenwood-Lee bishop, of the Diocese of BC, likes to tweet. She had this to say about the Ottawa protest against vaccine mandates:
There is nothing particularly surprising – or accurate – about her opinion; it is a quote from the left-leaning Guardian newspaper. Okay I have to say it, sounds like some of the commentators here have been taking to heart what they read in the Druthers newspaper. Even some of the ‘free-thinkers’ at the community breakfast where I used to serve (before vaccine mandates) would say it went too far. But hey, perhaps we can even turn conspiracy theories towards a form of Christian discourse where there truly is a cosmic battle between good an evil. That at least is one thing the Anglican Church of Canada doesn’t pay much attention to, but is arguably a core part of the Christian understanding of things. But like the rooting out of exclusion and social injustice, rooting out conspiracy theories becomes an end in itself.
Oh, the protest was “far right”? That settles it–doesn’t it!? No proof, just assertions. The article cited fulminates about those on the “right” and concludes, “And the baddies, I’m afraid to say, are winning.” Got that? If you’re on the right, you’re a baddie. If you’re on the left, you’re a “goodie”. And if you’re on the far left, you’re (ostensibly) righteous and holy. Salvation by works is easier than ever–just condemn the “right” and you’re good.
Hypocritical in the extreme how the Left administers Justice: a former Liberal candidate for the August, 2021, Federal Election sits in judgment on one of the organizers of the ‘far right’ Truckers ‘Freedom Convoy’…no bail while she has her in irons, even!
Still, GOD is in His Heaven: the PRC aligned Regime have had to pin their colours to the mast: pro-Ukraine or anti-Putin.
When they declare pro-Uighur and anti-Xi, let us know.
