The painful Anglican Church of Canada

In an uncharacteristic flash of insight, the Anglican Church of Canada’s bishops have realised that overturning 2000 years of Biblical teaching on marriage by merely voting to do so, might not be what God wants. That doesn’t mean they won’t do it, of course: the few tenacious conservatives remaining in the ACoC haven’t felt enough pain yet.

From here:

The Bishops of the Anglican Church of Canada say that they recognise the “deep pain” that will be caused by next year’s General Synod vote on allowing same-sex marriage in Church; and question whether the Synod’s parliamentary-style procedures are “the most helpful way to discern the mind of the Church, or of the Spirit, in this matter.”

  1. The majority vote of any motion does not automatically determine the will of God. For example, if the majority of a certain congregation decide to commit mass suicide on a certain date, it will not mean it is the correct decision according to the will of the triune God.

  2. You can be sure that the apostate leadership under Fred Hiltz and his associates will ensure that they get their wish regardless of the Gospel. The orthodox bishops need to make a public stand and move their dioceses into the ANIC.

  3. According to the Apostle Paul in his Epistle to the Ephesians, ch. 4 , Christian unity in Christ’s Church cannot accommodate any Biblical defined sin or evil.
When it does so, the greater “pain”/”lupe” (Tyndale “grief”, Wycliffe “sorews” ) is felt by The One Holy Source of all Christian Unity, The indwelling Holy Spirit resident in The WORD of GOD, Sola + John 17:17.
The greatest pain/grief/sorrow, therefore, will be experienced by those false priests and prophets who do/”lupeo” so + Ephesians 4:30:
“And grieve not The Holy Spirit of GOD, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of Redemption.”
That’s a world, plus, of “pain”.
