{"id":8031,"date":"2010-04-06T15:33:01","date_gmt":"2010-04-06T19:33:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/anglicansamizdat.wordpress.com\/?p=8031"},"modified":"2010-04-06T15:33:01","modified_gmt":"2010-04-06T19:33:01","slug":"the-anglican-peace-and-justice-network-calls-for-setting-aside-internal-divisions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.anglicansamizdat.net\/wordpress\/the-anglican-peace-and-justice-network-calls-for-setting-aside-internal-divisions\/","title":{"rendered":"The Anglican Peace and Justice Network calls for setting aside \u201cinternal divisions&quot;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.anglicanjournal.com\/nc\/100\/article\/anglican-churches-urged-to-set-aside-differences\/?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+aj-news+%28anglicanjournal.com%3A+Latest+News%29\">Anglican Journal<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Anglican churches should set aside their internal divisions and be sensitive to the needs and struggles of people in societies worldwide, an international body representing various provinces of the Anglican Communion has urged.<\/p>\n<p>The call was made by delegates to the triennial meeting of the Anglican Peace and Justice Network (APJN), which met March 14 to 20 in Geneva.<br \/>\nThe APJN also urged member provinces of the Communion to \u201cincorporate issues of justice into missional work and into theological education at every level.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A network of the Communion, the APJN is the vehicle by which Anglicans around the world collectively advocate for global peace and justice issues. Now in its 25<sup>th<\/sup> year, the APJN is composed of representatives from about 24 active provinces of the Communion.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Since the Diocese of Niagara is hosting the fun-filled <a href=\"http:\/\/www.justicecamp.ca\/\">Justice Camp<\/a> in May, this must mean that Bi$hop Michael Bird is going to set aside his differences with the three Niagara ANiC parishes and stop suing them; right Mike?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From the Anglican Journal: Anglican churches should set aside their internal divisions and be sensitive to the needs and struggles of people in societies worldwide, an international body representing various provinces of the Anglican Communion has urged.
