{"id":7357,"date":"2010-02-03T14:05:42","date_gmt":"2010-02-03T19:05:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/anglicansamizdat.wordpress.com\/?p=7357"},"modified":"2010-02-03T14:05:42","modified_gmt":"2010-02-03T19:05:42","slug":"bishops-in-space","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.anglicansamizdat.net\/wordpress\/bishops-in-space\/","title":{"rendered":"Bishops in Space"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As <a href=\"http:\/\/lonestarparson.blogspot.com\/2010\/02\/anglican-church-of-canada-hurtles-into.html\" target=\"_blank\">Lone Star Parson observes<\/a>, the Anglican Church of Canada, boldly going where no man has gone before:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/_TYvlC8IxUPM\/S2l_cLDtmYI\/AAAAAAAAEiA\/mo7hpoRNlLA\/s1600\/hubbleUFO.jpg\" alt=\"Add an Image\" width=\"600\" height=\"350\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The Hubble Telescope has captured striking new images of a remarkable object in the night sky &#8211; the diminutive Anglican Church of Canada (ACoC) hurtling into deep space.<\/p>\n<p>ACoC&#8217;s tiny 140 meter nucleus is unusual for being &#8220;off center&#8221; and unlike larger, more powerful ecclesial bodies, this one has &#8220;no gas in its tail&#8221;, say sources studying the phenomenon.<\/p>\n<p>A top scientist at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, believes the object is debris left over from a collision with the normative teaching authority of the Church, stating, &#8220;The collision likely occurred at over 15,000 kilometres per hour, five times the speed of a rifle bullet, and liberated energy in excess of a nuclear bomb.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Since 2000, ACoC has shrunk from a little over 650,000 attendees in 2000 to around 325,000 in 2010, a loss of over 20,000 people annually.
