{"id":6114,"date":"2009-10-27T12:23:56","date_gmt":"2009-10-27T16:23:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/anglicansamizdat.wordpress.com\/?p=6114"},"modified":"2009-10-27T12:23:56","modified_gmt":"2009-10-27T16:23:56","slug":"nutty-roman-catholic-nuns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.anglicansamizdat.net\/wordpress\/nutty-roman-catholic-nuns\/","title":{"rendered":"Nutty Roman Catholic Nuns"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Whenever I find myself mildly enticed by the Roman Catholic Church, I read something like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncregister.com\/daily\/sister_abortion_escort\/\" target=\"_blank\">this<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Dominican Sister Donna Quinn is serving as an escort at the ACU Health Center, a prominent abortion business in Hinsdale, Ill.<\/p>\n<p>A recent photo in the Chicago Tribune pictured two older women, one of which was Sister Donna, wearing \u201cClinic Escort\u201d vests outside the center, which proclaims on its website it \u201cnow offers the RU486 abortion pill.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A check on Loyola University Chicago\u2019s Women and Leadership Archives, Center for Women and Leadership and the National Coalition of American Nuns (NCAN) website, a group that opposes Church teachings on moral issues, finds Sister Donna helped to either co-found or organize different groups with feminist radical causes, actively advocating such causes as reproductive \u201cchoice,\u201d specific rights for homosexual persons, and women\u2019s ordination.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And I\u2019m reassured that there is a flourishing barmy faction in the RC Church, much as Anglicanism \u2013 the difference in Anglicanism is that its Western expression <em>is<\/em> the barmy faction.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Whenever I find myself mildly enticed by the Roman Catholic Church, I read something like this: Dominican Sister Donna Quinn is serving as an escort at the ACU Health Center, a prominent abortion business in Hinsdale, Ill.
