Thus blazes an Anglican Journal headline for an article about the Anglican Church of Canada\u2019s new trial liturgies for gender transition.<\/p>\n

Apparently, the mistake we\u2019ve been making for the last 6,000 years or so is to fall into the trap of thinking that men and women actually exist. They don\u2019t. There is only humanity. Now we\u2019ve finally realised that we have taken \u201can amazing step forward into full inclusion.\u201d<\/em> Or, depending on your perspective, confirmed Sophocles’ warning: \u201cthose whom the gods would destroy they first make mad\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n
