Creator,
\nas I prepare to go into the world,
\nhelp me to see the sacrament
\nin the wearing of this cloth \u2013
\nlet it be \u201can outward sign
\nof an inward grace\u201d \u2013
\na tangible and visible way
\nof living love for my neighbours,
\nas I love myself.<\/p>\nChrist,
\nsince my lips will be covered,
\nuncover my heart,
\nthat people would see my smile
\nin the crinkles around my eyes.
\nSince my voice may be muffled,
\nhelp me to speak clearly,
\nnot only with my words,

\nas the elastic touches my ears,
