When I was a student at university most of my attention was occupied by drinking, chasing girls and playing the guitar. I wasn\u2019t a Christian at that point, although I did live next door to a couple of Christians with whom I became friends in spite of the fact that I diligently tried to scandalise and upset them whenever I had the chance. They must have forgiven me; one of them used to ask my advice on dating.<\/p>\n

Evidently student Christianity has changed a little over the years. It is now a different century and, for me, a different country. And, it would appear, a different religion. I wasn’t convinced that the beliefs of my Christian friends were true, but at least I didn\u2019t think them risibly preposterous. This<\/a>, on the other hand, is:<\/p>\n
