{"id":24690,"date":"2017-01-18T20:39:38","date_gmt":"2017-01-19T01:39:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anglicansamizdat.net\/wordpress\/?p=24690"},"modified":"2017-01-18T21:40:56","modified_gmt":"2017-01-19T02:40:56","slug":"diocese-of-huron-cathedral-to-tour-a-mosque","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.anglicansamizdat.net\/wordpress\/diocese-of-huron-cathedral-to-tour-a-mosque\/","title":{"rendered":"Diocese of Huron Cathedral parishioners to tour a mosque"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The parishioners of the Diocese of Huron\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stpaulscathedral.on.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\">St. Paul\u2019s Anglican Cathedral<\/a> have been invited to tour a mosque on Jan 25<sup>th<\/sup>, an initiative of Syrian families that the diocese has sponsored.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s interesting to note the contrast with a similar sponsorship in the late 70\u2019s by the church I attend. It was a Vietnamese family \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Vietnamese_boat_people\" target=\"_blank\">Vietnamese boat people survivors<\/a> \u2013 whom we helped settle in Canada. The difference is, once here, they attended our church.
