The Anglican Church of Canada hates burning fossil fuels, preferring instead to power both its theology and thuribles from smudging smoke.<\/p>\n

Since the ACoC believes oil pipelines are built on stolen native land,<\/em> its hard to escape the conclusion that all its churches are built on stolen native land, too. That must mean the ACoC is going to give it all back to the natives from whom it was\u00a0 stolen. It will be a cold day in synod \u2013 or hell \u2013 before that happens.<\/p>\n

A major new oil and gas pipeline through the British Columbia region of Canada has received government backing despite protests from indigenous peoples groups. The Tsleil-Waututh First Nation described this week\u2019s decision as \u201cthe beginning of a long battle\u201d to stop the project.
