{"id":24305,"date":"2016-08-22T21:43:07","date_gmt":"2016-08-23T01:43:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anglicansamizdat.net\/wordpress\/?p=24305"},"modified":"2016-08-22T23:18:14","modified_gmt":"2016-08-23T03:18:14","slug":"primate-fred-hiltz-to-preach-at-queer-eucharist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.anglicansamizdat.net\/wordpress\/primate-fred-hiltz-to-preach-at-queer-eucharist\/","title":{"rendered":"Primate Fred Hiltz to preach at Queer Eucharist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Every month the Diocese of Toronto\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sjwt.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\">St. John\u2019s West<\/a> Anglican Church holds something it calls a Queer Eucharist where everyone, we are assured, will be welcome, although not necessarily comfortable.<\/p>\n<p>September\u2019s festivities will include Fred Hiltz explaining what happened during the same-sex marriage vote at general synod, including, apparently, \u201cthe call to holy manners\u201d or how to dismember a church, desecrate <em>the faith once delivered<\/em> and pollute the Eucharist with concentrated folly distilled from the zeitgeist &#8211; politely.<\/p>\n<p>This has been self-evident for so long it is scarcely worth pointing out. Nevertheless, here it is: the leader of the Anglican Church of Canada has thrown himself heart mind and soul into the ecclesiastical crusade to sanctify homosexual sex.
