Nor is there anything surprising about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.anglicanjournal.com\/articles\/-first-woman-bishop-for-montreal\" target=\"_blank\">this<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Irwin-Gibson listed nine priorities, of which the sixth was \u201cto continue the Diocese of Montreal\u2019s inclusive policy of ordaining partnered gay people.\u201d She was the only one of four whose statement mentioned the topic.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The only surprising thing is that a suitable \u201cpartnered gay\u201d person couldn&#8217;t be found for the position of bishop; the diocese had to make do with Irwin-Gibson instead.
