In addition, the Diocese of Huron was awarded partial costs of $100,000.<\/p>\n<p>St. Aidan\u2019s applied for Leave to Appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada and, as <a href=\"https:\/\/anglicansamizdat.net\/wordpress\/anic\/st-aidans-windsor-to-appeal-to-the-supreme-court-of-canada\/\" target=\"_self\">I suspected<\/a> would happen, it has been denied.<\/p>\n<p>From the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.anglicannetwork.ca\/nl_041414.htm\" target=\"_self\">ANiC newsletter<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u00a0St Aidan&#8217;s rector, Canon Tom Carman writes, &#8220;Yes, sadly the Supreme Court has decided not to grant us leave to appeal. \u00a0It&#8217;s not really surprising &#8211; not from a human standpoint &#8211;\u00a0but we were hoping for a miracle. \u00a0Sometimes, though, God simply calls us to bear reproach for his name&#8217;s sake. \u00a0And we know that in the end our reward is with Him and in Him. \u00a0He will see us through this.
