{"id":20156,"date":"2013-08-22T11:56:32","date_gmt":"2013-08-22T15:56:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anglicansamizdat.net\/wordpress\/?p=20156"},"modified":"2013-08-22T12:35:31","modified_gmt":"2013-08-22T16:35:31","slug":"bishop-apologizes-for-franklin-grahams-mission-to-iceland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.anglicansamizdat.net\/wordpress\/bishop-apologizes-for-franklin-grahams-mission-to-iceland\/","title":{"rendered":"Bishop apologizes for Franklin Graham\u2019s mission to Iceland"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Franklin Graham is going to Iceland not to talk about gay marriage but to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hatidvonar.is\/\" target=\"_blank\">preach<\/a> a \u201c<i>message of God\u2019s hope and unconditional love for all people<\/i>\u201d, and <i>\u201cto renew, encourage and strengthen the people of Iceland through the gospel of Jesus Christ.\u201d <\/i><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hatidvonar.is\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\">The Festival of Hope<\/a> <i>\u201cis open to everyone and is about the good news that unites us through Jesus.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p>One might be forgiven for falling into the trap of thinking that a festival intended to save souls would be welcomed by a Christian bishop, even a bishop of the Evangelical \u2013 never was a word less applicable &#8211; Lutheran Church of Iceland. Not so!<\/p>\n<p>The Rt. Rev. Agnes M.
