This isn\u2019t completely abnormal for him, so I called him in and paid no attention to what I assumed was a doggy apparition that had caught his attention.<\/p>\n<p>After a repeat performance in the late afternoon, my wife called me with: \u201cthere\u2019s an animal stuck in the fence\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Sure enough, this fellow had tried to squeeze himself through one of the chain links and, like most of us, he underestimated his girth and got stuck. We did eventually manage to extricate him from his predicament:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/anglicansamizdat.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/29U1477.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19166\" alt=\"_29U1477\" src=\"https:\/\/anglicansamizdat.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/29U1477.jpg\" width=\"599\" height=\"496\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/anglicansamizdat.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/29U1481.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19167\" alt=\"_29U1481\" src=\"https:\/\/anglicansamizdat.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/29U1481.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"548\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Incidentally, ground hogs bite quite hard even when you are trying to do them a favour.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When I let the dog out this morning he stood staring at the fence barking energetically.
