Its content would not be just bland \u2013 there would be \u2018teeth\u2019 &#8211; and eventually a <a href=\"http:\/\/news.bbc.co.uk\/1\/hi\/uk\/7509125.stm\"><span style=\"color:#800080;\">\u2018two tier\u2019 Communion<\/span><\/a> would be likely to emerge, of those in the centre who will sign, and of those on the edge who will not. The Anglican Communion is involved in \u2018intensifying\u2019 its current relationships and those who do not wish to continue on that \u2018intensifying\u2019 trajectory may remain where they are \u2013 there is no force &#8211;<span> <\/span>while the centre of the Communion moves on. Not exclusion, but intensification and no group can veto this movement forward.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>He mentions two categories: those who sign on to the Covenant and will be a full part of the Communion and those who don\u2019t &#8211; and won\u2019t. I can\u2019t help thinking that there will be a third category: those who sign, but have no intention of living up to what they just signed.<\/p>\n<p>And what is this obsession with the word \u2018trajectory\u2019; it makes it sound as if we are trying to hit the moon with a firework. Oh right, we are. This \u2018trajectory\u2019 abomination is scattered abroad by liberals and conservatives with equal abandon: it&#8217;s overused, overworked, half dead on its feet and I\u2019m sick of reading it.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Intensify\u2019\u00a0 appears to be the latest euphemism for \u2018exclude\u2019.
