{"id":16688,"date":"2012-06-16T02:11:11","date_gmt":"2012-06-16T06:11:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anglicansamizdat.net\/wordpress\/?p=16688"},"modified":"2012-06-16T02:11:11","modified_gmt":"2012-06-16T06:11:11","slug":"smatterings-of-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.anglicansamizdat.net\/wordpress\/smatterings-of-news\/","title":{"rendered":"Smatterings of news"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Church of England Newspaper has an article on the property settlement in the Diocese of Niagara <a href=\"http:\/\/geoconger.wordpress.com\/2012\/06\/13\/property-settlements-in-ontario-announced-the-church-of-england-newspaper-june-10-2012-p-7\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vancouver.anglican.ca\/Home\/tabid\/161\/Mode\/ViewArticle\/ArticleId\/1513\/Default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Diocese of New Westminster<\/a> seems to be suffering a degree of financial embarrassment and is selling rectories, including the one belonging to St. John\u2019s Shaughnessy (which is on \u201ca nice lot\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>Peter Elliot, the diocese\u2019s actively homosexual Dean, has been appointed as part-time \u201cBishop\u2019s Missioner\u201d to assist with the \u201cplanting of new congregations\u201d in the empty buildings which once housed thriving ANiC congregations.
