The group \u2014 consisting of communications professionals from five continents \u2014 concluded that the Communion life was at risk of being detrimentally affected by some Provinces\u2019 inability to source and share their news and stories widely.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Ironically, the article that bemoans the \u201cshortage of qualified communicators\u201d goes on to exhort the church to start \u201ccommunicating proactively as well as reactively\u201d, a phrase whose clich\u00e9d vacuity appealed to illiterate corporate managers for a season, after which, around the turn of the last century, mercy prevailed and it was put out of its misery .<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps the Anglican Communion in the West should be grateful that its inability to communicate means that not many of its parishioners know what is <em>really<\/em> going on.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>According to this: The Anglican Communion faces a shortage of qualified communicators, according to an international Working Group on communications.
