But Richard Dawkins seems to think that science <em>does<\/em> answer the questions of purpose and meaning.<\/p>\n<p>However one views this, it is odd and can only mean that either Dawkins\u2019 quest for purpose is microscopically shallow or that science has become his religion \u2013 or, as I suspect is the case, a combination of both.<\/p>\n<p>The complete video from which this version of scientism\u2019s answer to an Alpha invitation &#8211; delivered with all the bright-eyed fervour Dawkins can muster &#8211; is extracted can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/science\/video\/2011\/oct\/24\/richard-dawkins-video-interview?newsfeed=true\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the interview, it sounds as if the interviewer says: &#8220;Bishop Dawkins, thank you very much&#8221;?
