It is called <a href=\"http:\/\/clergyproject.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Clergy Project<\/a>. It boasts a hundred members who:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>use it to network and discuss what it&#8217;s like being an unbelieving leader in a religious community. The Clergy Project\u2019s goal is to support members as they move beyond faith. Members freely discuss issues related to their transition from believer to unbeliever including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wrestling with intellectual, ethical, philosophical and theological issues<\/li>\n<li>Coping with cognitive dissonance<\/li>\n<li>Addressing feelings of being stuck and fearing the future<\/li>\n<li>Looking for new careers<\/li>\n<li>Telling their families<\/li>\n<li>Sharing useful resources<\/li>\n<li>Living as a nonbeliever with religious spouses and family<\/li>\n<li>Using humor to soften the pain<\/li>\n<li>Finding a way out of the ministry<\/li>\n<li>Adjusting to life after the ministry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The organisation is <a href=\"http:\/\/richarddawkins.net\/articles\/643520-announcing-the-clergy-project-support-for-pastors-and-priests-leaving-the-pulpit\">sponsored<\/a> by Richard Dawkins who devoutly encourages apostates who have, as he says, <em>seen the light <\/em>to join in a koinonia of disbelief with other faithless victims trapped in pulpits of pretend piety.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019d <em>love<\/em>\u00a0to get a list of the names of members to see if they include an Ingham, Hiltz or Bird.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Not unlike AA, there is now an organisation whose purpose is to support clergy addicted to unbelief.
