Although I am not an expert on the fine distinction between these vocations, there is an organisation<\/a> that can educate<\/em> anyone prepared to disconnect their critical faculties.<\/p>\n If only the Rev. Hollis Hiscock had availed himself of this education <\/em>\u00a0before penning an article in the Niagara Anglican and getting himself in a bit of a muddle. The Rev. writes:<\/p>\n Our goals include building bridges with the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Transsexual, Two-spirited, Intersex, Queer, Questioning, Asexual, and Ally<\/strong> (LGBTTTIQQAA) communities, educating people and promoting St. Christopher\u2019s church as \u201ca more welcoming, affirming and safe church\u201d for everyone.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Affirming and welcoming what, you may wonder: LGBTTTIQQAAs (I\u2019m unsure of the plural of LGBTTTIQQAA \u2013 should the final \u201cs\u201d be capitalised, is it plural without the \u201cs\u201d? Who knows. Who cares), of course.<\/p>\n Rev. Hiscock: in my eagerness for maximal inclusion, you have no idea<\/em> how long I spent looking for the new, hitherto unexplored sexual deviation \u2013 the Ally orientation \u2013 only to discover, in my frustration and disappointment, that you had no idea what you were talking about. You meant \u201callies\u201d: allies of the other letters \u2013 which, in my unceasing efforts to be a Green Anglican by conserving bandwidth, I won\u2019t repeat.<\/p>\n Unfortunately, Rev. Hollis Hiscock has just been appointed as the new editor of the Niagara Anglican, replacing Chris Grabiec.
