Since April, the Holy Spirit Anglican Church has been holding services in the chapel inside Miller Funeral Home on Scott Street.<\/p>\n<p>The Rev. Carl Johnson, a Folsom Police chaplain, established the new site for the church because the next closest Anglican parish is located in Elk Grove, a considerably far drive for many Sacramento County residents.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFolsom is somewhat centralized in the Sacramento area. It\u2019s about 15 minutes from surrounding cities,\u201d said Johnson.<\/p>\n<p>The Anglican Church of North America\u2019s Archbishop Robert Duncan has established a goal to plant 1,000 new churches in the United States within five years, according to David Trautman, communications director for the Anglican Diocese of Pittsburgh.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDue to the small time frame, there won\u2019t be enough church buildings available.
