Hurled obloquies such as \u201cfascist\u201d and \u201cfat git\u201d are water off a duck\u2019s back to those drenched in today\u2019s ambience of tolerance. But refer to someone as something I used to eat with gravy every Wednesday and the equality Gestapo start launching <em>probes<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Obviously I am going to have to brush up on my insults.<\/p>\n<p>From <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/uk-scotland-north-east-orkney-shetland-14085638\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>An Aberdeen councillor has been cleared of making homophobic comments towards the authoriity&#8217;s gay then-leader.<\/p>\n<p>Jim Farquharson admitted calling John Stewart a &#8220;fascist&#8221; and a &#8220;fat git&#8221; but Mr Stewart claimed the term &#8220;faggot&#8221; had been used.<\/p>\n<p>The incident happened after a heated council meeting in September last year.<\/p>\n<p>A complaint was lodged with the Public Standards Commissioner for Scotland (PSCS). It has been ruled he was not in breach of his code of conduct.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Farquharson categorically denied using the term at the time of the incident.<\/p>\n<p>He told BBC Scotland: &#8220;I have never used such a word.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>However, he added that he stood by his fascist comment.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Being called a faggot.
