Hiltz, Schori and Bird went on a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/general-synod\/sets\/72157603941856052\/\" target=\"_blank\">jaunt to Cuba<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2290\/2278110684_13b0c56a5a.jpg?v=0\" alt=\"Add an Image\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><br \/>\nI wonder if they have read <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Against-All-Hope-Memoir-Castros\/dp\/1893554198\" target=\"_blank\">Against All Hope<\/a>, Armando Valladares\u2019 account of over twenty years in Fidel Castro&#8217;s tropical gulag spent as a result of his philosophical and religious opposition to communism. He gives a picture of the Cuba that he lived in and tells of how his Christian faith kept him from abandoning hope during the most evil treatment.<\/p>\n<p>Cuba does have a penchant for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cswusa.com\/Reports%20Pages\/Reports-Cuba.htm#Urgent_Action_-_Two_Christian_Activists_in_Cuba_Physically_Attacked\" target=\"_blank\">persecuting Christians<\/a>: which is why these 3 were quite safe.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cswusa.com\/Reports%20Pages\/Reports-Cuba.htm#Urgent_Action_-_Two_Christian_Activists_in_Cuba_Physically_Attacked\"><br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In 2007 Messrs.
