{"id":11448,"date":"2011-01-17T13:08:20","date_gmt":"2011-01-17T18:08:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anglicansamizdat.net\/wordpress\/?p=11448"},"modified":"2011-01-17T13:08:20","modified_gmt":"2011-01-17T18:08:20","slug":"julian-assange-hyper-hypocrisy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.anglicansamizdat.net\/wordpress\/julian-assange-hyper-hypocrisy\/","title":{"rendered":"Julian Assange: hyper-hypocrisy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Assange is set to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-1347950\/WikiLeaks-plans-reveal-Swiss-bank-account-details-rich-famous-tax-evaders.html?ITO=1490\" target=\"_blank\">plaster<\/a> details of the banking habits of <em>rich and famous individuals <\/em>in large letters across the digital sky:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has vowed to reveal confidential account details of rich and famous individuals he says have evaded taxes after taking delivery of a new dossier from a former Swiss banker.<\/p>\n<p>Whistleblower Rudolf Elmer handed over two CDs filled with data to Mr Assange in London today.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And yet is upset when one of his own leakers tries to <a href=\"http:\/\/newsbusters.org\/blogs\/lachlan-markay\/2011\/01\/07\/more-assange-hypocrisy-blasted-guardian-publishing-info-he-owned\" target=\"_blank\">out-leak him<\/a> because, irony of ironies, he has a financial interest in the leaks:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>For someone who deals in illicit information, Julian Assange sure gets touchy when people share information against his will&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Now Assange is upset that the Guardian would publish some of the leaked cables without the permission of Wikileaks (ironically, the info had apparently been leaked by a Wikileaker!).
