{"id":10025,"date":"2010-10-03T17:33:22","date_gmt":"2010-10-03T21:33:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anglicansamizdat.net\/wordpress\/?p=10025"},"modified":"2010-10-03T17:33:22","modified_gmt":"2010-10-03T21:33:22","slug":"the-diocese-of-new-westminster-has-a-facebook-page","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.anglicansamizdat.net\/wordpress\/the-diocese-of-new-westminster-has-a-facebook-page\/","title":{"rendered":"The Diocese of New Westminster has a Facebook page"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Unsurprisingly, it is billed as an example of the thing Canadian Anglicans do best: \u201cAnglican Conversation\u201d, a kind of <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-10027\" title=\"Lost\" src=\"https:\/\/anglicansamizdat.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/DONW3.jpg\" alt=\"Lost\" width=\"102\" height=\"101\" \/>de-spiritualised glossolalia which, to distinguish it from the real thing, has no meaning in human <em>or<\/em> heavenly realms and, thus, cannot benefit from the gift of interpretation.<\/p>\n<p>As of this writing, it has 36 people &#8211; I don&#8217;t think <em>all <\/em>are Ingham&#8217;s relatives &#8211; who like it, most of whom also belong to groups like <em>\u201cPeople of faith opposed to the burning of the Koran\u201d <\/em>(I have added \u201cpeople of faith\u201d to my annoying phrases list) and<em>\u201d Telling Pat Robertson to STFU\u201d <\/em>(unless he is reading from the Koran).<\/p>\n<p>For those who want to \u201clike\u201d it, it\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Vancouver-BC\/Anglican-Conversation-Diocese-of-New-Westminster\/130319853684475?v=wall\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.
