{"id":10007,"date":"2010-10-01T15:17:15","date_gmt":"2010-10-01T19:17:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anglicansamizdat.net\/wordpress\/?p=10007"},"modified":"2010-10-01T15:17:15","modified_gmt":"2010-10-01T19:17:15","slug":"rowan-wiliams-friend-of-zoroastrians","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.anglicansamizdat.net\/wordpress\/rowan-wiliams-friend-of-zoroastrians\/","title":{"rendered":"Rowan Wiliams, friend of Zoroastrians"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From <a href=\"http:\/\/www.harrowtimes.co.uk\/news\/8427274.Archbishop_of_Canterbury_visits_Harrow\/\">here<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Dr Rowan Williams went to the Zoroastrian Centre, in Alexandra Avenue, at 2pm, where he met members of the faith and learned about their rich history and tradition.<\/p>\n<p>He said: \u201cFor a community relatively small in size it&#8217;s contribution has been enormous to the life of this country but also to the life of so many of the great world religions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the light of this community I feel that I&#8217;m touching some very great roots indeed of the religious inspiration of so many of the world&#8217;s religious faiths at this present point in time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He was greeted by members of the Zoroastrian Trust Fund of Europe (ZTFE) and was adorned with a sash by Shenaz Sadri, a member of the group, in keeping with the traditions of the community.<\/p>\n<p>Malcolm Deboo, secretary of the organisation, told Dr Williams: \u201cWe believe you are a true friend to make so much free time available to us.
