God turned Evil Friday into Good Friday. Good Friday is not an annual funeral or memorial service of the dead Jesus. Rather, we thank God for the death of Jesus in our place for our sin on Good Friday. No Good Friday, no Easter Day. No Easter Day, no Ascension either. We look forward to the return of Jesus and the new heaven and new earth.
