  1. I live 3-4 hours drive from Ottawa and I’m Canadian–I’ve only been once and for just a few hours. These photos remind me that I should take advantage of my (and my ancestors) tax dollars invested in the dozens of worthwhile-to-see federal buildings and museums.
The library is a real treasure built in the 1860’s and narrowly escaped the fire that destroyed the original Parliament buildings during, but not as a result, of WWI. The destroyed buildings were lined inside with “scads” of hand carved, rare-select white pine-but after the fire, they opted for a stone interior.
    Thanks for the photos-very enjoyable.

    • What will not be “expected” by all three parties is the birth of those female babies aborted because they are female
      – the real untouchables in Canada’s benighted right to choose gender foeticide.

  2. For Ed:- If you think the Liberals under Justin Trudeau will do anything to respect life or genuine Christianity, you are being misled. The Liberal Party of Canada (and that includes any provincial Liberal government) has consistently been riddled with corruption and deceit right up to this day. The media may well support their agenda but in doing so they are avoiding the truth. Remember the cost of the sponsorship scandal has never been revealed and like any other fraudulent activity only a very minor part of the fraud is ever uncovered. I doubt the cost to the Canadian taxpayer was under TWO BILLION dollars.

    • I don’t know why you would think that I’m impressed with the Liberals. I think Trudeau made a stupid mistake… and called the Liberal party to tell them so. I also think that the NDP and Conservatives are no different. Muclair forces his MPs to vote pro-choice and Harper refuses to open the debate. They have subtle differences in what they say but in practice, all parties are the same.

      • All parties are the same. They support abortions and gay marriages. I am most disappointed with the Conservative Party.

        • I am disappointed the Conservative Party, too but at least they still allow freedom of conscience for individual party members. Pro-life candidates are still welcome in the Conservative Party; they are not in the Liberal Party and even less so in the NDP.

  3. On a completely different subject, I’m struggling to find the Welsh dragon in the pictures. I see the three lions of England and the lion rampant of Scotland, but where’s the dragon? Or am I looking at the wrong picture?
