Stop offering insincere prayers for Paris

If a person prays for the victims of an atrocity yet continues to act in a way that is likely to cause a repeat of the atrocity, then the prayer is a lie and God is being treated as a fool.

Here is Canada’s effort:

In Canada, the Council of the General Synod paused its Friday evening meeting as news of the attacks filtered through. Archbishop Fred Hiltz led prayers for those affected by the tragedy.

Yet, the ACoC and Hiltz are delighted with the election of a new Liberal government, a government whose campaign platform included withdrawing from the fight against ISIS and the accepting of 25,000 Syrian migrants into Canada by Christmas – a volume that would make adequate security screening impossible.

So, Canadian bishops: either shut up with the hypocritical prayers or stop your support for a government and policies that will inevitably result in yet more victims, more bishops babbling like pagans and more vain, empty, repetitious prattling disguised as prayer.

  1. Part of the problem is that folks in general don’t seem to understand the colonial past is coming back to ‘bite’. ISIS is the creation of The American War Machine and with friends like England, who needs any enemies. The House of Saud has been financing a large portion of this horrific turmoil. It seems that “their” view of the Muslim Brotherhood only extends so far and the rest of mankind is only seen as collateral damage. I hate to sound so cold about this but closing the borders is one very good start. The so called “brain trust” of European countries could then possibly sit down and work together on this. And I am including Count Vlad in all of this. Because you see, he “gets” what is happening and contrary to popular American Corporate Media propaganda………..has understood for quite some time!!

    • I disagree totally with the suggestion that ISIS is a creation of the American War Machine. There is no question that ISIS is being supported by wealthy Muslim countries and the sole goal of ISIS is to control the entire world and the slaughter of non-Muslims is nothing less than an inconvenience to them. We were dumb enough as an electorate to place the Liberals in power – a party that has absolutely no religious convictions other than to do what they can to remain in power. A full and complete security screening should be mandatory for ANY person seeking to enter Canada.

The apostate primate and his followers are in the same camp as the Liberals and the only “god” they worship is the one that serves their purposes. They no longer worship the GOD of the Scriptures which makes any Eucharist at which they officiate totally bogus.

      • Hey Frank………….in less than six months it will be difficult to find many who will actually admit to voting for the Latrine Party of Canada. Trust me. LOL

      • That ISIS is a creation of the American War Machine is not an entirely false assertion, although it can be misleading. ISIS demonstrates what the real flaw is in American foreign policy. Leftists accuse the Americans of imperialism, of overthrowing governments unfriendly to theirs to establish puppet regimes that will do their will, turning all countries of the world into American client states, in the service of American business. Whatever truth there may or may not be to that, the real problem with American foreign policy is that in all of its forms, since at least the administration of Franklin Roosevelt, have been based upon the Wilsonian assumption that liberal democracy is both the best form of government and a universal model that can be exported anywhere in the world and expected to work as well as it has in the American Republic. The administration of the previous American President, George W. Bush, held the neoconservative version of this concept, which places a high priority on the security of Israel, the only country in the Middle East where liberal democracy can be demonstrated to work, and concludes that Israel’s security interests, and those of the United States and the rest of the world, are best served by introducing liberal democracy to the other countries of the Middle East, and toppling strong-man regimes like that of Saddam Hussein in Iraq. While Barack Obama holds to a different version of this concept, his administration is still essentially Wilsonian in the way it supported the various rebel groups of the “Arab Spring” against the regimes of Quaddafi in Libya, Mubarak in Egypt, and Assad in Syria, in the naïve belief that some sort of working, American-style, liberal democracy would result, bringing stability to the region. In reality, it is all of this regime-change that has made it possible for zealous Muslims to create ISIS. As bas as the Hussein government was, and the Assad government still is, these regimes prevented the sort of thing we are seeing in ISIS from forming. It would have been better had the United States taken a page from the book of Putin, and supported these regimes.

        • Thanx Gerry. You are obviously more well read than many on this thread including myself.
Your view is well articulated. Not appreciated by some quarters………..but that is life.

    • Well, might I add that the CIA is in the American DNA. Maybe I’m splitting hair here but the “Machine” as I call it, will continue to “roll on”. Nothing short of a ‘new world order’ will stop it.
